The CorePlaybackEngine.resources.dll file is not localized correctly in a Lync 2010 client

Symptoms

After you install the update that is mentioned in Microsoft Knowledge Base (KB) article 2514982 on a non-English version of the Microsoft Lync 2010 client, the CorePlaybackEngine.resources.dll file is not localized. Additionally, you encounter the following issues:
  • The strings in Lync 2010 Recording Player are not localized when you use Recording Manager to play a recording.
  • The Language property in the Details tab of the CorePlaybackEngine.resources.dll file's Properties page is not set correctly.
  • The resource strings are not localized correctly if you extract the CorePlaybackEngine.resources.dll file.
